Field Day Lietzen 2025 (Update)

At the Lietzen Field Day 2025 under the motto “Boden.Wissen.Handeln” (please insert the link to the field day news item under “News”), held on 04/09/25 and organized with the involvement of the SoilRob team, there were numerous opportunities for exchange at the SoilRob booth. Around 120 visitors were introduced by Lina Rohlmann and Lukas Thielemann to field methods for determining various soil health parameters, which are also used in the different trials of the SoilRob project.​

In addition to the visual examination of soil structure in the field (VESS – Visual Examination of Soil Structure), equipment for measuring infiltration and water erosion susceptibility was presented. As a method for assessing soil biological activity, the use of “Von Törne bait lamina strips” was explained. Furthermore, a simplified physical model was used to demonstrate the water stability of soil aggregates.​

With the various groups that visited the booth, there was a lively exchange, with questions and input from both researchers and practitioners, which made the field day a successful event for SoilRob.​
