Berlin, July 5, 2025 — Dr. Kathrin Grahmann, representing ZALF and her Junior research Group SoilRob, joined global leaders, innovators, and policymakers at the Global Summit of Women 2025 in Berlin to address the urgent challenges of food security and climate resilience.

Speaking to an audience of hundreds of influential women — including CEOs, ministers, and entrepreneurs from across the world — Dr. Grahmann presented on “Enhancing Resilience in Agricultural Production Systems with Technology Development.” Her talk highlighted how nature-based practices combined with cutting-edge digital tools can help farmers adapt to climate change, conserve resources, and improve food production.

“The technologies exist, and we have the knowledge. But adoption must be inclusive, participatory, and rooted in local realities,” she emphasized. “A living lab approach, where farmers, researchers, policymakers, and innovators co-create solutions, is the way forward.”

The Global Summit of Women is one of the most influential platforms for advancing women’s economic leadership, bringing together delegates from more than 60 countries. The special Luncheon session, Food Security and Technology, underscored the role of innovation in tackling climate-driven food crises.

Dr. Grahmann’s contribution reinforced SoilRob’s mission to merge robotics, precision agriculture, and sustainable land management to shape resilient agricultural systems worldwide.
