DBG-Tagung 2025
/ Tübingen
The SoilRob team gained significant scientific input from this year's conference of the German Soil Science Society (DBG) under the motto #HealthySoilsClimateProtection, held from September 13-18, 2025 in Tübingen. In numerous presentation sessions such as "Humus in agriculturally used soils," "Soil protection and land management," or "Structure, mechanical properties and functions of soils – structure and stability," Lina Rohlmann and Lukas Thielemann were able to deepen their knowledge of soil health and learn about many new methods and approaches. In addition to a laboratory tour at the University of Tübingen where various methods and equipment could be experienced hands-on, the personal exchange with many scientists before or after sessions and events surrounding the successful conference proved almost even more important. Lina (poster title: "Mechanical weed control by lightweight autonomous field robot affects soil water characteristics in sandy loam soils") and Lukas (poster title: "Effects of mechanical weeding with a lightweight autonomous field robot on soil aggregate stability") were also able to present initial SoilRob project results on posters and discuss them with researchers.
